My Old Friend, Darren

Come on Joel, you knew him too.

Darren was one of the bunkmate I have during my recruit days. He was one of the weakest among the whole platoon and he can’t express himself well enough to let people know his feelings. Most pals of mine laugh at him for whatever he did. Definitely by writing pals of mine, it does not include me.

During the first day, I was very friendly to all the realized everyone was the same and only he was quite soft-spoken. His physical and mental is quite weak and he was kind of army-phobic. When I realized that, I told myself I have to help him and he was my main concentration in the NS because others are normal and I don’t want him to fall into the depression side of things, so I teach him whenever he failed to learn, I guided him when he lost his ways, and I let him adapt slowly so that he can think of happy things in NS.

After our recruit days, I’ve not contacted him since and now glad to see him on Facebook and happy in his life. God bless my brother…

NOTE: I am not that kind to everyone who don’t deserve it. haha..
