A New Year

Just realized I’ve not written about what my 2008 is like. Too engross into what 2009. Proven that I love my future than stay in the past. But, now just to have a small recap.

2008 is a very special year for me. It’s a countdown year for my ORD, new friendships, new relationship, parties, work and of course sadness.

ORD-ed in 080908 and this signature the day I will be stepping into society. Got my first professional job application accept and was offered a job which started on 150908. Did not really have any rest after my ord as I went overseas to Batam with Joel, Adam and Leong Wai. It was a very enjoyable trip. As I’ve said earlier, Leong Wai’s laughter is…… hmm…. yeah~ Saw a different side of Adam I’ve never seen before.

My new relationship started in July 12th. It’s kind of fast as I knew her only on July 6th. We have too much in common and was very in love with each others company. Soon we decided that it doesn’t matter how long we’ve met and together. It’s being together that makes the difference.

During my camp days, me and joel and gang will head out to zouk, phuture and wherever there was a party going on. Sometimes sober enough to get back camp, sometimes drunk but still able to make it back camp. Bond was built throughout the process and skills were developed. (>.<)

Sadness came on April, when me and Joel were introduced to Josh facebook friend, Yiling. She came over to join me, Josh, Joel and Felicia at Mind’s cafe. After which, they all went to my place near 1am to prepare to head down St James to Club. Soon Yiling, me and joel click together started to head out everywhere where we always decide it only last min.

Disaster struck on May 22nd and it ended the run, chase Yiling campaign. She jumped from a condo at her boyfriend house and time seems to stop there in my heart. A friend that I’m sure me and Joel will never find. Read my 2008 May posting to know more.

Another disaster struck on Dec 1st where my friend Seck Wang moved on. It was the strangest feeling when Ying ying called me to break the news to me. I bear the pain and hold my tears in my office and divert attention to work. My girlfriend was worried and came over to my place and passed me my Iron man cheese burger. But that’s just a information to let her know I remember. Seck Wang was the nicest guy I’ve seen and he was one of the best 2IC I’ve seen too. But the dreams he told me about and in which I support him as we bear the same idea ended on his side. Let me stable myself and settle down first and I will work on your dreams.

My personal disaster struck on June 3rd when I fainted and fractured my lower jaw. Of course it deeply affected my way of life, e.g. Eating. My teeth are and still fractured till now. Not to worry, the death of my two friends  and the mystery of what lies ahead of me kept me going, not forgetting to mention, my family and my girlfriend too.

This round up my 2008. It’s contains a lot of ups and down but it was a year I’ve learned a lot from friends and people I’ve met. I can say I grew a lot from not being sad but knowing sadness itself.
