I don't know whether my brother cares but our family sort of dangled in a financial crisis. Of cos I am glad that this financial crisis comes after I am able to work and earn money for my family, but over the years, the high cost of living for us seems to put us into quite a deep trouble. In the past I think I would earn enough for a family or sufficient for a family. But because of Singapore's over ambitious plans made a moderate-earning family crashed right into crisis due to the high cost of living. The plans are good, but i think we acted too fast and if we are still in a more slow and steady plan, the crisis may not hit Singapore that big. Now, I guess we have to due with it.
I think I am earning a lot as compared to the other diploma graduate after my 2 years of NS. However, it's still not enough for my family. I placed pressure on my shoulders because I love my family and want to shield them, giving them a constant comfortable living even though of financial crisis.
If i can and time allows, i can even try to make more money working on 2 jobs and study. I know it's tiring and maybe my relationship will crack, but just hope for the best.

Today I am really lethargic and strengthless. Got to meet my girlfriend for lessons today. Bit the lesson killed my night further and deeper. My boredom wound was cut and dug deeper in till bones were noticeable.

Had my first exam after a long 2 years. It was great. Got all answered and am happy about it.

I finally realized that I have this barrier to get over with. I am street-smart. Establishing a good friendship is never a problem to me. But conversations may prove deadly.
I get nervous when I call strangers on mobile or office phone. I get stuttered and felt small, whereas comparing with face to face conversation, I am more dominant in speech. What the hell is wrong with me!!!
Example - Jo just got her Os result and she got a 23 L1R4. Very disappointed yet she can still make it to polytechnic, but for courses that she have no interest of. After communicating with her father, who is a strict person, he asked her to go straight to ITE to study hard so that she can move up to polytechnic with good results and thus get into the course she wanted. Now she is in ITE and she is doing just well enough.
What is wrong with this path that she had chosen or is there wrong in what the father insist her in doing? To most parents, they will think that this is the path to take rather than retaking the ‘O’ levels. Local diploma does have their privilege in some areas, but most of the time you don’t use it. And also, when they are set to step into the society and work, they will realize that Singapore is a place of degree than a diploma. I can say near to half of Singapore populations have at least a degree.
To what I predict, diploma is soon to grow no value and the pay for that level will drop drastically. So what I would recommend is that take up a private diploma and study a degree after that just like what Clarence did, but that idiot have great O level points. This will make a better choice.
Please think about it parents, give your children more wider choice than restricting them to your thinking.
Eyes – this is the one of the useful organ in any human body. The eyes help a human body to work, talk, look, appreciate, love, sleep, etc. But eyes cannot tell tales, and eyes cannot elaborate more than what they see.
Brain – connected to the eyes, brain works as a CPU and the eyes are only like a webcam. The brain make out description in what humans sees. If the brain wave in the brain is very creative, it will make out beautiful stories, or if the brain wave is dull, it will just say what they see. But by doing this, they will make the human more direct and backstabbing.
My workplace – at my workplace, we are given this privilege to take short breaks in between to rest our eyes which is always being strain to look at the flat screen case. But some people will never understand that. Some demand their own colleagues or workers to give they 100% during their work, no breaks in between but only lunch breaks. And by bringing this thinking to my workplace is so uncalled for. By the way, that person has to know he is not my boss. I thank god that he is not and nothing much related. I love my boss!!

I say great job done by Spurs last night. Arsenal was totally not the arsenal was before in the days of David Seaman, Dixon, Keown, Vieira, Henry. It is really going down and Wenger is still trying to hold his pride by saying he is not wrong into building youngsters. The youngsters are good, but not good enough for EPL.
I can only say, Tottenham can keep themselves up in the EPL by playing what they were playing last night. That was a champion team and a great team to be seen in the finals with Manchester United which I think is not really looking good actually. They are struggling to keep themselves up and Liverpool are a pests, but both of them may lose out and Aston Villa slowly moves up and up. I won’t be surprise if they became the champion. They are now 5 points behind Man Utd. They are quietly strolling their way up.
I'm actually not quite sure why some grew addict to clubbing. A place where perverts are, women get touched, grinded, everyone all sweaty, drinking a lot knowing you won't feel good next morning, spent a lot of money on drinks which you whine about being poor later.
I mean there are a lot of reasons not to club but most chose to do it.
Teenagers and clubbers said that it's a way to relax and release anger. I think it's all nothing but a lie to themselves. They love being touched and being screwed. Want to drink? Head to a bar to grab a beer or something. Can't release anger in a healthy way, mate?
Yes, I was a clubber but it's all in the past. To sit down and chill is a way healthier and a great choice than splashing out big cash to buy harm.

Met him at chinatown after his work and had 'you ji mian' for dinner after which we went to SGH to get 'lost' in their lift. Haha..
Decided to come down to Clarke quay to have a drink and after walking round and round we ended up at TCC! You may think that tcc is a place where people gathers to have dinner and coffee.. Guess what! I had 2 bottles of beer and she have a glass of baileys. Now she is going to end her day with deserts! Good lord, finally she is full!
iPod touch have definitely impacted my daily life. From mail- blogging - news, it is great. Now I'm considering a macbook. Apple's mac interface really appealed and attracted to me rather than others who buy of only by thinking it's cool and nice. Really have to save up for this one.
What I meant by my nick? When someone in a forum, or whatever place criticize about tv, magazines or whatever they sees, there is sure to have some replies saying,"then don't watch it". But people love to voice out their opinion to be shut up. They want to know if someone felt the same and chat with, and not to assholes who comes in and disagree and saying this turn off line.

Woman wearing army's P.T and army products is what i really felt being disrespected. We wore and honor it the way we went through training and by wearing that, they have pulled our image down. I don't think it should be offered to women without 11B.
Wearing it is cute for a woman, but they can wear it at home or to sleep at home. What happens when tourists, or other ambassadors see it? They will be thinking, Singapore's army seems to be weak. I really don't think army should let women where it unless they signed on? People will overwrite my sayings by saying that how would I know they are not civil servant?Simple, you don't wear it proudly.
Maybe I am too proud to earn my rank, but I really am disgusted by women wearing it walking around. Disrespecting us who worked hard.
I just want to say, during this 9pm time, I really have nothing to do, so I will want to watch tv series. But this show which was only on tv for 2 days, really is disgusting. It's too oily and it's too irritating. I know it's only a show, but it have destroyed the image of some celebrities.
What's good about it is the reality of what was shown. People always take what was taken and discriminate the reported. But without proof and understanding, it destroys people reputation.
It’s really tough for me to get out of my Chinese sentence structuring to make it work in my working environment, where everyone knows English than Chinese.
The only way I can make myself really express myself properly, speaking in perfect English will be using a low voice. I am not psychotic or have an imaginary friend. But I do talk to myself with English and these are perfect English. When I do want to speak with my normal tone and way, I will stutter and broken sentences comes out from this handicapped mouth. However, if I use a lower tone to speak when I speak to myself, I am fluent and capable to speaking more confidently.
I think it’s not that people do not speak English well, but I do feel that the level of tone, the decibel or surroundings really is Vito Factor that will help in getting better at public speaking especially in English.
Every morning having the need to squeeze and to be squeeze. I'm glad that every morning, the train from Ponggol - Hougang are only half-filled rather than when it comes from Serangoon. The crowd in Serangoon is crazy. The population there really must decrease. Why not shift to Jurong? There's a lot of space there. As more crowd crowds in, it's really difficult to breathe, to hold the nearest pole.
Personal Space - People just won't understand the red zone, do not stand in ones red zone!! It's very intimidating. It's really irritating when people will yawn with no action of covering it, may it be women or man.
On your own - If you are traveling alone to work in the morning, other than feeling lonely and bored, you will also feel that it's a battlefield even taking a transport. Either you are able to get on board or you need to wait for the next train and NORMALLY, no such thing as you can't squeeze, because they really prove solid can be compressed.
It's so low nowadays. I'm not talking about employment rate, neither am I talking about low in knowledge. I need to be inspired, may it come from a song, a true and really inspiring story (not referring to stories of those ex-hardcore gamblers or whatever)To tell the truth, I've done more for people than myself. Maybe some may say they didn't see it, but it's there and done. So it's alright.
Motivation - the state or condition to be motivated. My motivations are slowly fading away. I need something which will occupy me for the whole day. I can't stop working. I'm a super workaholic. I can't stop or should I say I do not want to stop. My whole life now seems to be switched into slow mode. Motivations are moving, but it is currently traveling slower than a snail. It's killing me. My huge ambition and ego are feasting me inside rather than having them feasting on my hard work. I need to shout, I need to be released. I need opportunity and I guess I need a big project.
My motivation now is to earn more money as I need it and also studying for good grades in my studies. But if I have to and can balance, why not give me all? I'm just so vexed.
I just can't wait for next Thursday where my greatest challenge will commence - Studies.
I doubt some Singaporeans felt nothing and no feeling towards whatever they wear. Looking at Orchard Road, you can see a lot of slipper gangs, singlet gangs and also student gang.
I would say I belong to slipper gang. I do love to wear flip-flops however recently I will try to refrain from it everywhere I go.
Let’s say when you are in your school days and you represent the school by wearing the uniform. By wearing the uniform, it reflects your school’s image. It’s a kind of branding I would say and as students, you are the product. How well a brand establish itself in the market depends greatly on how well the product is made and had achieved. So even during school days, what you wear does matters.
Singlet Gangs – This is what I hate actually, there is nothing wrong wearing a singlet in your neighborhood. But to wear it in Orchard road and with your hairy armpits? Please, you may feel comfortable, but those boarding train and buses DON’T! What contradicts our thinking is this “as long as I’m happy and feel good, that’s enough” but what overwrites it is “it’s good to feel comfortable but you still have awareness to your surroundings”. Imagine someone wearing singlet like you standing beside you with sweat dripping down from the armpit hair!
So what I mean is, you represent something whenever you go. The kind of things you do, your manners, your attire really speaks a lot. Being trendy is good, but being inappropriate is not. If you wear slippers, wear something nice to cover it or LOOK NICE!
Signs are coming to me like a flow. Because of my parents, I am most likely going to be believe in what they believed as to carry on their tradition. Yesterday, my little cousins and my auntie came by my house for a CNY visit. Such a brat. He went to the toilet in my Mother’s room and walked out, upon seeing me typing my blog in computer, he barged in standing beside me, and I just go “what you want?” I know that it’s kind of rude, but I don’t give a damn to kids that are rude. Then he walked further into my room and saw my figurines. My heart started to turn cold, he took my figurine and play with it! I hate any kids to touch my toys! Lucky enough, he doesn’t know that the missiles can really rotate and fire.
He then bugged my Mum who was having a headache to play blackjack. Damn irritating. Win, he take, lose he say he never play. ARGH! Weird brat..
There are actually 2 kinds of people who frequent the hawker centre. Rich, snobbish patrons and coolie kind like me. Of course there is nothing wrong to the fact rich people like them frequent the hawker because they missed the day they were poor ...which is a good thing... and others just know that it's cheap.
Maybe it's just my perception, but it is not hundred percent not true.
Just now when I was queuing for my favorite chicken rice store, this lady ordered a lot and it's just for his husband and her. Then she was standing there looking at the tray slowly filled. As it was lunch time, the hawker was having a hard time managing, this lady asked the helper help her carry, she didn't know that there was so much and she was "AFRAID" to carry it. The boss looked at her from inside and said out loudly in hokkien: " we are very busy now and we cannot help la!" Then the lady ran to look for his husband for help, but the husband just come carried the tray and walked away.
Poor people like me, we always have respect and understanding for those trying hard to make money and we just understand the pain. Yes, service is what Singapore is working towards, but there is a difference between asking for service and being asking for too much! This is a hawker, let me say it again, this is a hawker centre, there is no service charge, so if you ask for service, feel free to get "service"!
If you think I meant that "loser", you guessed it wrongly! Well, basically I felt very uncomfortable. I love my "johnny" that's for sure. But it's just that I have this stiff neck, stiff back. Playstation 3 and Ipod touch are the main targets I will be going after. But these two gadgets are totally different thing. With Ipod touch giving me a lot of healthy entertainment than Playstation 3, I seem destined to go for Ipod touch.
Ipod Touch - I downloaded the video introduction for Ipod Touch and it's features thrills me. My brother has it and when I was exploring it, what really caught my eye is the STNews which I love. It gives me news on the go as it cache it. You are like holding a straits times with just a device than papers. The genius function gave me a further understand of what it meant in the video and it's cool. Music, Video are normal essentials but the variety of applications to add in is such an angel! Playstation 3 - The idea of having a high resolution and real-time graphic seems to be the main attraction to me. Playing online with friends is just an addition. Games are expensive and I am not a person who will get hook to game. So.... that's a point to consider.

But to me, simple technology they used during the reign of dynasties really makes us think how do they do it? Simple law of physics that they did not need to study, simple knowledge they acquired during farming which is so ingenious.
Came across a lot of technologies which is still at work till today really makes me feel proud to be a Chinese.
Let me state 2 recent examples: Richter Scale A mystery that till now that we do not know how it disappeared in thin air, The Richter Scale. Many were misled that the one displayed in the China's Museum is the real thing. But it was a successful duplicate of the scale in 1950. I won't elaborate on how it work, but Zhang Heng really did well in making a huge breakthrough which I think till now you'll never realized that given the present technologies, nothing came close to it.
Salt water retrieval method This method sounds simple? But to dig 3000ft during the days of Ming Dynasty? It was really tough. They inserted a bamboo-like canister in the hole dug which is only a fist big to retrieve the saltwater. With a small stick used to push into the gap below the bamboo, saltwater retrieved flows out. What was pushed in the bamboo to create the flow? A cooked cow skin. Incredible. I ain't gonna say more.
Well, in conclusion, I am just astonished about how our ancestors are able to make such a difference. (but not proud at what the future of theirs are...)
